Vallenato is an indigenous musical genre of the Colombian Caribbean Coast with its epicenter in the former province of Padilla (current south of La Guajira, Cesar and north eastern Magdalena) and ancestral presence in the savanna region of the departments of Bolívar, Sucre, Córdoba. Its popularity has spread today to all regions of the country and neighboring countries like Panama, Venezuela, Ecuador and Mexico. It is traditionally played with three instruments: the diatonic accordion, vallenato and guacharaca box. The rhythms of vallenato musical airs or are the paseo, merengue, puya, and are tambora.1 Vallenato also plays guitar and instruments in cumbia and cumbia groups billion. The November 29, 2013, the traditional vallenato was declared Intangible Cultural Heritage of the Nation by the National Heritage Council of the Ministry of Culture
